This is my 2nd pair of Convetable Mittens from Lowe Alpine and I really like them. They are good for when you are out walking etc and need to use items such as a camera or GPS, just fold back the mitten for easy use with no risk of dropping your glove.

I love taking part in Summits on the Air where hill walking meets portable amateur radio. These mittens are the answer to my prayers. You put them on for the duration of the walk and get fingers out to do jobs when you need them like writing in the radio logbook or pressing the tiny buttons on the Yaesu FT-817 transceiver that most of us use on the summits. They're warm, snug, windproof and take a good while before the wind gets through. I wear them most days for cycling to work too. Best gloves / mittens that I've ever had. 73 David M0YDH
