Palm Equipment Quick Pro Belt

A versatile quick-release belt for attaching a throwline and a SUP leash, with a clamshell zip pocket for carrying your essentials too. It can also be converted into a waistbelt towline, with room in the pocket for a 5 m / 16.4 ft Snake Sling. There is a dedicated attachment loop for the Quick SUP leash and the belt can also be used with conventional ankle leashes. Your throwline mounts on the red quick release loop, close at hand where it can be deployed instantly. Palm sponsored research into safety harnesses found quick release webbing tethers set at 3 cm /  1.18 in length guarantee a correct release. Our clean tail safety release system separates the quick release and the waist adjustment buckle, so that the quick release tail is always the right length and the belt can be easily adjusted for people of all sizes with the spare webbing neatly coiled away.

Using Your Palm Quick Pro Belt:

The Quick Pro is designed for carrying Palm throwlines around the waist for quick deployment when paddling or scouting. It can also be used for the safe attachment of a SUP leash allowing quick and easy release if the leash gets tangled.

Ensure there is 3cm / 1.18in of loose webbing extending from the quick-release.

  1. Close and tighten the belt via the side-squeeze and tri-glide buckle. Roll up and stow loose webbing with velcro strap. To release the belt in an emergency, pull the yellow ball
  2. Ensure the quick-release with yellow ball is always accessible.

Ensure the quick-release with yellow ball is always accessible. If using with a SUP leash, practice using it and familiarise yourself with it before taking to the water

To use with a throwline:

  1. Thread throwline onto webbing strap either side of central belt loop.
  2. For throwlines with more than 10cm / 3.93 in between loops, thread the webbing strap though the central belt loop to provide extra support.

To release throwline:

  1. Pull black knob to release strap and remove throwline.

To rig a towline:

  1. If needed, you can rig a towline by attaching a Palm Snake Sling with karabiner to the webbing loop inside the pouch.
  2. Pull yellow ball to release belt and towline.

To use with Palm Quick SUP leash:

  1. Attach red leash cord with a girth hitch through small red loop on belt.
  2. Pull yellow ball to release belt and leash.

To use with a standard SUP leash:

  1. Insert webbing strap through the leash cuff.
  2. Pull black knob to release leash.
  3. Pull yellow ball to release whole belt.

To get the most out of your Palm Quick Pro, we strongly recommend you seek training in the use of throwlines, towlines, leashes and swiftwater rescue.
