Review: Excellent Primary Dive Light. I purchased the NOVA 850R to replace an older led dive light. After several dives I can say that I'm quite pleased with my purchase. The light is very bright, even on the half power setting, and provides a wide angle of illumination. The flashlight body is the right size for gloved hands. It's large enough to easily remove from bungee tie-downs on the BCD and big enough that you can get a positive grip. The shape feels right when you are holding it (smaller lights can feel awkward to grip through 5mm gloves). The button is easier to operate than sliders with gloves on. The light is very white, clear, and piercing in murky environments. Overall this seems to be a quality built dive light that will last.
