Thank you Jackson Sports for having the full size range in stock. Reading the sizing advice ( my hands are M wide and L long usually) I took a punt on XL to go over a liner if necessary and XXL over those. Gives an 'easy on' fit. These for a trip to northern Sweden in Feb, snowmobiling. Maybe let you know how I get on..

I agree with other reviews regarding performance. They are also great as a back-up when your hands get wet and cold and it's impossible to put your gloves back on. To keep them together when not wearing them, you can easily fold one mitt into a ball small enough to fit inside the other mitt. No need for clips!

Bought these to go with my Special 6 shirt, and they have been the best pair of all-round gloves I've ever owned. I have poor circulation so my hands get cold very quickly in the winter and take a long time to warm up. I've tried all manner of gloves, including expensive Rab and Marmot gloves, and nothing compares to these for instant warmth.
The second you put them on your hands start to warm up, even if you're stationary. In fact in all but the most extreme cold these gloves can even be a bit too warm! But given that they are virtually weightless and pack down into nothing, they are invaluable for anything from serious mountain walks to pushing a pram in the winter. I tested them last year on one of the coldest days at the top of Helvelyn. It was blowing a blizzard, winds of 30mph and a temperature of around -25 C with windchill. My expensive mountain gloves were useless, and by the time we reached the top my fingers were virtually numb. I put these on instead and within 5 minutes of walking my hands were not just thawed but warm.
Because they're so thin you can do a surprising amount with your fingers through the gloves, so despite being mitts you can still do most actions like undoing zips, opening bags etc without having to take them off.
They're not waterproof, but if you're active and generating heat they will dry out quickly. At this price I can't think of a better value winter purchase.
As others have said they are small, so size up, especially if you have wide hands!
