Great hood for all DP smocks/shirts where you want to have wide angle vision. The hood is sized to fit and non volume adjustable. Sized properly this gives a snug fit and next to the skin it wicks perspiration or rain away excellently so always feels warm and will dry out very quickly. The hood has a Velcro fastened face cover which is best kept in a pocket on the garment it is attached to. This avoids losing it and having it flap around when not in use. An expedition hood is available from Buffalo which has a wired brim and a volume adjustable strap to be worn over a helmet or on its own and a fully attached face cover which can be folded to the sized and velcroed out the way. I rate this version 5 stars and the DP hood 4 stars because of these additional features.
I would thouroughly recommend this to anyone who has the Buffalo Mountain Shrit etc. As expected of a Buffalo product, it does exactly what you want it to. Keeps the wind off you and keeps you warm and snug!
My husband was absolutely delighted with his Buffalo coat at Christmas and is equally delighted with the addition of the hood. Really well designed and extremely warm. Arrived promptly.
