If there are 50 brands of multi-purpose/hiking shoes available, trust me, I've tried them all. But finally... Worn for eight hours straight out of the box. Lightweight, no overheating, wide enough to allow for toes to swell, but with a clever lacing system that fits snugly around the heel/ankle and foot. If I had one recommendation however, it would be to ditch the insoles - the stitching is a little abrasive; besides, no-one has perfect feet. Nevertheless, even with alternative insoles, the shoes remain a wonderful fit. They may not be rugged enough for my intended journey; but what price comfort when 20 miles from home and halfway up a mountain?
