Looking after your Meindl leather boots and shoes:
Meindl's leather boots and shoes are handcrafted in Germany and have been so by the same family for over 300 years. They are designed to be your perfect adventure partners and last the test of time.
We know that many of the boots we make spend their days on craggy fell tops, mountain paths, trudging through rivers, puddles and mud. These are the places we love to see them. If you look after your boots after an outdoor adventure, they will look after you.
Quality boots deserve care and attention. Here are simple steps to caring for your Meindl boots and shoes:
DO NOT heat Meindl's Sportwax before applying. Doing so can cause it to penetrate too deep and impair the leather's breathability and your wearing comfort.
DO NOT apply oils or grease on any of our boots. There are two reasons: First, oil and grease products can cause boots to lose strength and stability. Second, oil or grease will migrate throughout the leather which can cause the rand and outsoles to delaminate from the boot.
DO NOT use a direct heat source such as a radiator, heater, fireplace, heated boot dryer, etc. Wet leather is very sensitive to heat which can cause cracking and damage affecting performance and longevity.

Got it for my Meindl Super Perfekt boots - this product is the ideal care for hard leather boots. It protects the leather and (at some point) makes it waterproof but without sacrificing the leathers breathing ability. This is very important because similar products can seal-waterproof the outside of the boot but you will end up all wet from your sweat inside the boot. I use it after I cleam my boots and it makes them look like new.
I live in Greece and I received the package within 3 days - Great service Jackson Sports - I will surely buy again - Thank you!

I own a pair of Meindl Burmas so this wax is a must, particularly in winter when the ground is almost always wet. Without treatment, boots dry out and crack. This wax does a great job filling any cracks, greatly improving water repellence and prolonging the life of already expensive boots. A great buy and almost essential for anyone with nubuck leather hiking boots.

Recommended! Product goes a long way. I've applied it to leather walking boots which have never been treated (3 years old). They have been totally rejuvenated and are much more supple. Not tested in very wet conditions but initial indications are good.
