The Nebraska Lady Mid GTX walking boot is a lightweight mid-cut shoe offering great comfort and good ankle support. Thanks to the high-quality Nubuck leather and suede uppers, the Nebraska Lady Mid GTX is hard-wearing and resistant with a classic style. The accompanying GORE-TEX lining offers excellent protection in wet conditions, whilst the Air-Active footbed keeps the foot dry and sustains a healthy environment within the shoe. The Meindl Magic Light Trail sole ensures superb traction on a variety of terrains, making the Nebraska Lady Mid GTX most ideal for medium mountain ranges, trails and easier terrains.
The Nebraska Lady Mid GTX is a lightweight, mid height boot, ideal for lower level walks and trails when a mountain boot is not required. Hard wearing sole and GoreTex lining ensure this boot will perform well in all conditions. Extremely comfortable from new.
Meindl's Boots Terrain Category System:
Meindl boots are graded in a category system from A – D. These categories are based on the terrain that the boot will be suitable for. It is important that you choose the correct boot for the type of walking or activity that you’ll be doing. If you are not sure – read on, we are here to help!
Here’s everything you need to know to make a decision about the best boot for you.
Note: most of Meindl's shoes and boots are graded, but if you can’t see a specific grading next to a product, it doesn’t have one, and that means it’s for keeping your feet comfortable on every day adventures.
Meindl’s Top Tips:
Alfons Meindl developed the terrain categories to classify his family’s boots in 1975. Over the years, the system has been refined and it’s now widely used by many footwear manufacturers. If you are looking to purchase a pair of boots we would encourage you to read the terrain categories above.

I haven't managed to go on a proper hike yet due to the Covid restrictions, but I did wear my new boots on a normal walk, just over an hour, in the rain and cold. They are VERY comfortable. No "breaking in" issues that I sometimes get with new footwear (such as stiffness, causing blisters to back of heels). These are warm, I only wore ordinary socks. Warm and comfy. Can't wait to try them out in a real hike.

I first tried these boots whilst on holiday in Malta borrowing them from my friend to do a steep coastal walk. They were very comfortable from the off and gripped well and gave confidence when walking steep and unstable terrain.
Now I have my own and are very happy with them.
Jackson Sports were very efficient and delivery took only a couple of days.

Finally I have found a walking shoe that does what it says. I have arthritis in the ball of my right foot and need support for that area. I walk the dogs for 2 hours per day and I am pain-free..
Many thanks and when I can afford to do so, I will be back to purchase a pair of waterproof lightweight boots.
Only a boot, which really fits, makes you happy.
Please remember that, for technical reasons, there can be slight differences in the size of different types of boots / shoes.
For narrow feet Meindl produces some of their standard models in a narrow last (narrow N).
