These are a super pair of pants. The sizing is spot on (I'm a 34/32) and the 34 regular is a perfect fit. Have taking these pants out in howling winds without a base layer and they were perfect.

One tip would be to wear longer socks as the protective panels on the legs are high and if not wearing a base layer can be cold against the leg.

Highly recommend these.

I bought these to replace a pair of ageing North Face salopettes that have been my go-to for fine weather skiing for many years. I wanted something breathable enough for bootpacking and skinning that came in a short leg length so the knee articulated in the right place. These tick all those boxes. The waist is also excellent, with no tendency to gape at the lower back. A mogul session confirmed that the articulation, waist and general cut really work. Fabric feels good too and all the features seem very functional.

I can get these over ski boots with the ankle zips done up but I have small feet. However, I cannot open the buckles for skinning like this. I know ME did a more ski-oriented pant with more lower leg volume but, on balance, I quite like the snug lower leg of the G2 for use with crampons.

Overall, these feel like a winner, that I'll definitely use on all but the wettest ski days and probably for winter climbing and walking too.
