These waterproof overtrousers do exactly what they say on the tin: they're very light and packable (they come with their own fist-sized mesh stuffsack) and are perfect for carrying on days when you want them in your rucksack just-in-case. Realistically, you'll have to take your boots off to put these on (you might just scrape through if wearing trail shoes), so you'll have to balance this off against the very low weight and bulk. Shorter ankle zips and no Kevlar reinforcements around the ankles are necessary sacrifices to achieve this, so potential durability is somewhat reduced as a result.
They are, however, much more durable than some of the ultralight mountain running-type overtrousers on offer from specialist brands (e.g. Montane Minimus; OMM), and as such are more suitable for the light-and-fast mountaineering and hill walking brigade to rely on.
Breathability is not as high as Gore-Tex Pro, but these are not intended as all-day wear. Comfort and breathability is still very good and overall performance is far beyond what their gossamer weight might suggest.
Pros: Very light; packable; breathable; comfortable;
Cons: Short leg zips; durability (relative)
Summary: Buy these if you want a very high quality, lightweight, packable Gore-Tex overtrouser for occasional use. They'll live in a corner of your rucksack and you'll forget they're there! But for extended or more serious mountain use (skiing, crampon use, all-day walking) you should consider a heavier & more durable model, such as the ME Karakorum, which is fully-featured.
