Outdoor Research Illuminator Sensor Gloves - Men's

The versatile and weather-resistant Illuminator Sensor Gloves give your hands so much warmth and freedom, they'll remain staples on your pack list for alpine, winter climbing, and ride or ski adventures. Exceptional breathability ensures your hands never overheat on the uphill, warm Primaloft® insulation keeps you cozy on the downhill, all while natural dexterity lets you do delicate fingerwork without removing your handwear at all. Add to that, the Illuminators have touchscreen-compatible fingertips, so between bad weather, dexterous tasks, and snapping a summit selfie, you'll never have to take these gloves off and expose your hands to sub-zero temps.

Built for repelling wicked weather.

Review: Solid ski, ice, alpine glove. Perfect fit, comfortable, and offers good dexterity. I purchased these gloves primarily for ice and alpine climbing in the Cascades. I was initially skeptical of their ability to perform in technical terrain due to the unnecessary "sensor" aspect, but I've been impressed. They've become my cold-weather leading, all-weather following, and warmer-weather belay glove on ice. Though not Gore-tex, I haven't had them soak through yet and they seem relatively waterproof (I treated them heavily before use). In the right temps (ie: mid-20's) - these feel like a "quiver-of-one" glove for ice/alpine climbing (though I'd always bring extra gloves for safety). They work great in those temps as a ski glove as well. The sensor feature works flawlessly and I enjoy being able to take pictures of my guests without having to take them off.
