Bought this mitt out of courisoty more than anything.
However... it’s really not for the white water paddler
(in my experience)
More designed for open canoe 🛶 paddle.
It’s just not possible to maintain a good grip on your paddle, especially if you’ve to nail a bow rudder, high brace... Even your roll will fall victim with these.
If you do make the purchase, go a size smaller. Neoprene will stretch and it too is an idea to have them tight on your hand.
In a nutshell, I can’t justify them on the whole. They feel flimsy, most certainly will not keep your hands warm. They will only keep the wind chill from the back of your hands.
If you must however have hands warm for open canoeing, buy neoprene gloves.
White Water paddlers... go with the pogies all day long.
