Features:
The Cascada is Páramo’s top selling walking jacket.
The Cascada is suitable for a wide range of hill walking activities, from winter walking to dog walking, from rambling to munro bagging.
If you are outdoors in all seasons, sometimes moving, sometimes stationary, you need a jacket that you can trust to give you good protection from wind and rain, and that is efficient at dealing with the moisture from perspiration, so you do not chill when you stop moving.
The Cascada Jacket’s long length and features combine with directional Nikwax Analogy Waterproof fabric to give excellent weather protection and dry comfort.
The Cascada Jacket has a classic long-line design, additional protective features and pockets designed for walkers.
Full weather protection guaranteed from fully adjustable hood, double storm flaps, drip skirt and drawcords at waist and hem
Freedom of movement and comfort thanks to generous fit and long-line design with articulation in shoulders and sleeves.
Designed with walkers in mind for confident days out with reinforced shoulder construction for pack-carrying and three generous pockets.
Nikwax Analogy Waterproof fabric is more than just breathable, it is directional.
This means it is capable of moving liquid water away from your body and not just water vapour.
It is essential to avoid a build-up of water in your clothing system when you are working hard, as too much retained moisture will lead to your body rapidly chilling when you stop and rest.
In conventional clothing systems, approximately 20% of sweat production is dealt with effectively, leaving the remaining 80% trapped inside.
Nikwax Analogy garments are unique, in that they pump out this 80% of liquid water and allow it to drain away; you are left feeling dry and comfortable.

In what kind of weather conditions can I use my Cascada Jacket?
The Cascada Jacket has been tested to resist at least 4 hours of intense rain; so you can use it throughout the year in cold or wet conditions.
Because the fabric system offers significant insulation, this is not the best garment to deal with heavy showers in very hot conditions. In that case we would recommend a Nikwax Windproof, perhaps combined with one of our Parameta T+ baselayers, to optimise breathability and cooling.
How do I care for my Páramo waterproof?
Regularly wash it with Nikwax Tech Wash® to remove dirt and revive its water repellency. If, after washing, the outer fabric absorbs water (it does not run off in beads) it is time to reproof your garment with Nikwax TX.Direct®.
If your waterproof picks up a contamination which cannot be removed in a normal wash, Páramo can professionally wash and reproof it for you.
What if I damage my Nikwax Analogy® Waterproof clothing?
Simple repairs can often be done with a needle and thread without compromising the performance of your Páramo gear.
If you seriously damage a garment, you can send it back to Páramo and request a quote for having it mended – most damage can be repaired!

I've used Paramo gear sice 1992 and my original jacket is still in use - I got bored with the colour in the end! Paramo is definitly the most breathable fabric I've used especially in those very difficult days of continious unrelentling rain. When other makes of jacket seem to stop working after 2-3 hours out, whatever they make the Paramos from just keeps me dry. My new jacket is also lighter than my first - a big plus for carrying.
Bought this for my husband. We both have other Paramo jackets but more winter weight. This is excellent as all Paramo stuff is. Very pleased. Also very happy with Jackson Sports there price was the best I could find and their service was speedy.
This Paramo is exactly what I wanted. It is perfect. Warm, comfortable, waterproof, windproof, etc. Paramo are the best walking jacket you can buy. Well worth the extra cost. I recommend a paramo very highly.
Please remember that, for technical reasons, there can be slight differences in the size of different types of clothing.
Páramo® Measurements are body measurements. not garment measurements.
All Páramo® garments will fit more generously than non-active wear because Páramo® pattern and grade all garments for active use: reaching. bending. stretching.
All Páramo® garments use metric measurements

PÁRAMO SIZING GUIDE
Páramo® garments are specified using metric measurements, therefore the metric measurements in this chart are the most accurate. Imperial equivalents are rounded to the nearest half number.
Páramo® measurements in the chart relate to body rather than garment measurements – thus, for example, a leg length measurement given here is for a person’s leg length, not the actual leg length of the garment to reflect the fact that Páramo® garments are designed specifically for active use.
Páramo® Easy Fit - More generous fit – for example, Velez Adventure smock & Velez Light smock. If you are close to the next size down, best to go down to the smaller size
Páramo® Athletic Fit - Fits closely to body contours – for example, Alta jacket, Velez jacket, Helki jacket, Mirada jacket, Velez Hybrid smock & Enduro models. If you are close to the next size up, best to go up to the larger size
