If you enjoy mountain walking, cycling, climbing and more, you need a versatile waterproof suitable for all these. Good wind and rain protection and something to keep you warm is essential. However, you also need to keep cool when working hard.
This smock uses Nikwax Analogy® Light fabric to give full directional waterproof performance and perspiration removal in a lightweight package. Innovative temperature control options and practical pockets are built into this weight-efficient garment.
The Velez Adventure Light Smock is lightweight but protective, with generous ventilation options and very practical pocketing.
Nikwax Analogy® Light fabric gives a 20% weight saving compared to standard Nikwax Analogy® while offering the same unrivalled protection and moisture control.
The twin zip vents offer quick temperature regulation on the move.
Easily accessible storage is from generous, well-placed pockets, designed for maps, guides, photo accessories, snacks and other essentials.
Nikwax Analogy Waterproof fabric is more than just breathable, it is directional.
This means it is capable of moving liquid water away from your body and not just water vapour.
It is essential to avoid a build-up of water in your clothing system when you are working hard, as too much retained moisture will lead to your body rapidly chilling when you stop and rest.
In conventional clothing systems, approximately 20% of sweat production is dealt with effectively, leaving the remaining 80% trapped inside.
Nikwax Analogy garments are unique, in that they pump out this 80% of liquid water and allow it to drain away; you are left feeling dry and comfortable.

In what kind of weather conditions can I use my Velez Adventure Light Smock?
The Velez Adventure Light Smock has been tested to resist at least 4 hours of intense rain; so you can use it throughout the year in cold or wet conditions.
Because the fabric system offers significant insulation, this is not the best garment to deal with heavy showers in very hot conditions. In that case we would recommend a Nikwax Windproof, perhaps combined with one of our Parameta T+ baselayers, to optimise breathability and cooling.
How do I care for my Páramo waterproof?
Regularly wash it with Nikwax Tech Wash® to remove dirt and revive its water repellency. If, after washing, the outer fabric absorbs water (it does not run off in beads) it is time to reproof your garment with Nikwax TX.Direct®.
If your waterproof picks up a contamination which cannot be removed in a normal wash, Páramo can professionally wash and reproof it for you.
What if I damage my Nikwax Analogy® Waterproof clothing?
Simple repairs can often be done with a needle and thread without compromising the performance of your Páramo gear.
If you seriously damage a garment, you can send it back to Páramo and request a quote for having it mended – most damage can be repaired!

Páramo clothing does not rely on hazardous fluorocarbon (PFC) treatments in its finishing or aftercare processes.
Nikwax Analogy fabric systems are uniquely suited to recycling as they avoid the need for mixed materials, membranes or taped seams. Instead, they use 100% polyester, which unlike many materials, can be broken down and reformed into new, high quality fibres.

Really comfortable jacket, nicely cut and nicely sized. The hood is perfect and is bike helmet compatible, which makes it really nice to cycle with. The side vent zips also allow access to a second central pouch on top of the main one, which open front the outside. A really nice Fairtrade, high quality jacket.
Love this. I'm a size 12 female and bought the small mens and its perfect, plenty of room for layers underneath if needed and not too big without. Was caught out in torrential rain one afternoon and my fleece underneath just felt cold but wasnt wet. Great buy, love it already.
Paramo jackets really work for me. I’m dry when friends in gore tex aren’t. For me, staying dry is really important when choosing a waterproof jacket! It’s also very comfy, doesn’t crinkle and this one is light. 100% recommended.
Please remember that. for technical reasons there can be slight differences in the size of different types of clothing.
Páramo® Measurements are body measurements. not garment measurements.
All Páramo® garments will fit more generously than non-active wear because Páramo® pattern and grade all garments for active use: reaching. bending. stretching.
All Páramo® garments use metric measurements

PÁRAMO SIZING GUIDE
Páramo® garments are specified using metric measurements, therefore the metric measurements in this chart are the most accurate. Imperial equivalents are rounded to the nearest half number.
Páramo® measurements in the chart relate to body rather than garment measurements – thus, for example, a leg length measurement given here is for a person’s leg length, not the actual leg length of the garment to reflect the fact that Páramo® garments are designed specifically for active use.
Páramo® Easy Fit - More generous fit
Páramo® Athletic Fit - Fits closely to body contours – for example, Velez, Quito, Ostro & Enduro models.
