The Ranger has been a huge classic appealing to walkers and ramblers over many years. A Scarpa model built to the last but with the easy comfort to wear everyday Hillwalking.
The Ranger is built using traditional bonded and lasted construction which means it had a sculped shape and more supportive fit from the start. The full grain leather upper is tough and durable, with a softer leather cuff for instant walking comfort. The Gore-Tex membrane guarantees waterproof protection.
The new version features all the credentials of SCARPA'S Activ Fit technology making it feel really luxurious at all times. The Ranger 2 GTX Activ now features the BD last offering increased fit and performance. While the Hi-Flex mid sole offers the optimum balance of support and walking comfort. The new Activ Fit program combines four elements; last, sole, ergonomic design and footbed to provide a new level of instant, out of the box comfort and performance.
The Vibram Kalden sole has an integrated rand making it highly durable and resistant to degradation. The tread pattern of the sole is optimised for UK conditions with wide spaced lugs to help clear sticky mud and a pronounced heel brake for descending grassy slopes.

Featured in the walking boot range it not only provides good support for walking, but is also instantly comfortable and requires virtually no breaking in. Product Care:
Calf Leathers: High quality leather from 1.8 to 2.6mm in thickness, they are ideal for fell or lightweight hillwalking boots. Calf leather undergoes a traditional tanning process which helps to make it durable and highly water resistant. Used in Scarpa Ranger 2 GTX Activ.
Use a proofing agent from new, for best results we recommend SCARPA HS12 cream or a water based wax treatment such as Nikwax water proofers for Leather Footwear.
