Scubapro Galileo G2 Wrist Dive Computer with Smart+ LED Transmitter
With all of its new features, its full-color screen options, plus the ability to use as much or little of the technology as you want, the GALILEO 2 (G2) is poised to become the favorite computer for divers of all skill levels, from beginner to tech diver. The Scubapro Galileo G2 now includes a Transmitter Smart+ LED for wireless air integration.
Easy to read -- a choice of four colorful screens quickly draws your attention to what you need to know.
Easy to use -- the G2 has the same three-button control, incredibly intuitive menu structure, and diver-friendly functions that earned the Galileo its reputation as the hands-down easiest computer to use.
Designed go anywhere -- open water to freediving to CCR to sidemount, the G2 is ready to go wherever your passion for diving takes you.
Transmitter Smart+ LED -- enjoy the convenience of air integration without the hassle of a dangling hose. This low-profile Smart transmitter works with SCUBAPRO's most advanced dive computers. It screws into a high pressure port on your first stage and relays tank pressure and true remaining bottom time (RBT) to the computer screen. The latest version features a built-in LED located at the top of the cap that gives you an estimate of pressure when the first stage is attached to a tank. This lets you know if the tank has gas without needing to activate the computer.
The Scubapro Digital Heart Rate Belt with Soft Chest Strap is an optional purchase and does NOT come with the Galileo G2 Dive Computer. Factoring your heart rate into your decompression calculations helps make diving safer and a lot more fun. A lightweight waterproof ECG (electrocardiogram) transmitter is clipped onto the elastic belt that straps around the chest, directly against the skin. This belt wirelessly transmits your heart rate data to your SCUBAPRO personal dive computer. Data is displayed on the screen, plus is factored into your decompression calculations to create a more personalized dive plan and improve the quality of your diving.
Review: Good, simple, and intuitive Dive Computer. As expected, it does not disappoint. One of the easiest dive computers I've used, especially for the capabilities it handles. Almost didn't even need the User's Manual. Been great on the handful of dives I've used it on. Easy to see the data. Great gadget. I would reccomend this computer.
Review: The Digital Heart Rate belt gives me heart rate during my dive and skin temperature, which I find helpful and I can attempt to correct for both.

I bought this dive computer from Jackson Sports because they were offering at the best price I could find on the net AND it came with the air integration transmitter free!
My previous dive computer was a Cressi Neon, which I bought elsewhere in June last year and was so disappointed with it as it was useless when trying to download dives onto my PC. Not good at all.
Anyway, I know buying the Scubapro G2 is a huge increase in cost from the Cressi Neon, but I thought it was worth it, as Scubapro have such a great reputation and this unit is packed with so many features, it was impossible to resist.
I love the easy to read display, as well as the simple button configuration. Also, combined with the heart rate monitor (which I bought separately) I can fine tune and personalise my algorithm specifically for me. Also you can very easily configure it so that you can have the buttons on the top, or on the bottom, to suit your dexterity.
My only gripe, which isn't worth taking a whole star off for is that there was no spring-bar supplied for attaching the hard plastic loop for tidying the loose end of the strap. For some reason this plastic loop is supplied unattached. Jackson Sports sent me a bar very promptly when I pointed this out, however it was not the correct size. I have however made a temporary fix with some bent wire, whilst I await a response from Scubapro.
All-in-all though, this is a great piece of kit and I would thoroughly recommend it to any diver.
