![]() Snugpak Softie 12 Sleeping Bag - Unisex's Many view the Softie 12 Osprey as the ultimate four season synthetic fill sleeping bag. Use it from the heights of the Scottish mountains to the bottom of your snow hole. The Softie 12 Osprey enjoys all the benefits of the Softie range, including the Softie filling and lining giving great insulation and comfort, reflecting and trapping heat; the mummy-style shape which is designed for warmth and comfort and the snugfit hood with its adjustable cord to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep, even when the temperature drops.
* Please note: Comfort and Low-temperature figures are given for guidance only. Snugpak’s performance figures are drawn from over forty years of experience and customer feedback. Our comfort figure assumes you will be sleeping lightly clothed (thermal base layer or PJ’s) within a tent on a good quality sleep mat, at this external temperature the majority of users should feel comfortable and get a good night’s sleep. The low-temperature ratings are temperatures the sleeping bags have been used at by fit individuals with the minimum of discomfort. There are many variables involved in a good night’s sleep, including climate, altitude, fitness and metabolism, if in doubt stick to the comfort figure. Features:
Fabric & Insulation:
Paratex Steelplate fabric: Paratex Steelplate, as the name, suggests this fabric is used on the cream of Snugpak’s products giving a great balance between aesthetics and performance.
Paratex Light fabric: Lightweight, highly windproof, water repellent fabrics, exceptionally breathable and able to wick moisture away from the source, ideal for sleeping bag linings and mid-layer insulated clothing.
Softie® Premier Insulation - Exclusive to Snugpak®: As part of our continuing development process to keep our synthetic insulation at the leading edge we are pleased to introduce the next generation in sleeping bag technology. Softie® Premier uses the same basic principles as traditional Softie® but improvements in extrusion technology and binding resins result in a finer, softer and more durable insulation. Both Softie® and Softie® Premier are exclusive to Snugpak.

Sleeping Bag Care & Storage Washing All Snugpak® sleeping bags are fully washable by hand or even by a washing machine. We provide all the instruction on the care label, which you can find sewn into one of the inner seams. However, even the highest grade of insulation/filling will eventually lose some thermal efficiency and structure after repeated wash cycles, so we recommend that washing your sleeping bag should not be done often, especially when using a washing machine. Whenever possible, instead of a full wash, we recommend sponging both inner and outer fabrics with soap and water. Then dry and air your sleeping bag thoroughly before storing back in its compression sack. If you are machine washing your sleeping bag make sure you read the following guidelines for best results.
Snugpack Top Tip: Using a loose liner, which can be washed separately as often as you like, to extend your sleeping bags life. Bag liners will also add an extra layer of comfort and warmth to your bag. Drying We recommend you line dry your sleeping bag and we recommend you do not tumble dry. Warning: Drying sleeping bags in a tumble drier could result in heat damage to the items. This can happen even when using a low-temperature setting if the sleeping bag is left in the dryer too long or doesn’t have enough space in which to tumble freely. Reproofing We use a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish on all our sleeping bags, water repellency can be maintained with periodic re-treatment with suitable aftercare products such as Nikwax Water Proofers. Storage & Packing Do not store the bag compressed for long periods between uses. While we sometimes roll sleeping bags at the factory for despatch, we would not advise emulating this without special machinery. Packing a sleeping bag correctly can save you time and more importantly space within your rucksack for your adventure, all you have to do is follow these simple steps to get the best from your Snugpak sleeping bag.
When space in your rucksack is vital you will need to have a sleeping bag that can be compressed down to a minimal size. Snugpak sleeping bags can be compressed by up to 60% making them ideal for all adventures. However, to guarantee that you get the sleeping bag to it’s most compressed, you have to pack and compress it correctly (Please see the above info )
Please Note: All of our sleeping bags are machine rolled using specialist equipment and will need removing from the compression sack once purchased before you can compress the sleeping bag entirely.
